The IHRDC is committed to adhere to the concept of Essential National Health Research (ENHR), which aims at achieving equity in health and development and sees itself as a base for appropriate and relevant research. The Centre aims at providing affordable solutions for national health problems, advising resource allocations leading to maximum health gain and supporting Primary Health Care implementation within the context of a changing healthcare sector.
