Partners: Dr Willem Takken & Dr BG Knols; Wageningen University, The Netherlands & Food and Agriculture Organization/International Atomic Energy Agency Entomology Laboratory, Seibersdorf, Austria This collaborative project aims to evaluate the field efficacy of a laboratory-tested fungal bio-control agent against Anopheles gambiae in holoendemic rural Tanzania. This project is also evaluating novel target designs for luring mosquitoes to selectively treated surfaces to that the effectiveness, acceptability and affordability of domestic insecticide interventions can be enhanced.
